Awkwafina
Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began with a series of rap songs dealing with issues related to race and sexuality. Her career expanded to Hollywood when she dropped a series of raps. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living who resided in Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was from the trumpet. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop studies began when she was just a teenager. While in the school, she focused on women's studies and journalism. She was also a student of Mandarin for a while in Beijing. After graduating, it wasn't until when she decided to turn her attention to music. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet hit and was included on her debut album Yellow Ranger. This album also featured songs that were viral such as body-positive Queef or the winking city tour NYC Bitche$. The final track was closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, released in the year 2015. Apart from having a book published as well, she also worked as a singer. She has appeared in films like Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in 2018 with a few high profile films, including Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. Then in June, she launched the EP in Fina We Trust.
