According to Taylor-Joy the removal was extremely difficult for her and she refused to learn English with the intention of moving back to Argentina. Hill House, a school within the same district as Northlands had to take her. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study dance and perform in the school's productions. When she dropped out of school at the age of 16 she pursued an acting profession. The dream of Taylor-Joy to become an actor of professional caliber began at a very young age.
